The country of Stardade is a land rich in cobalt, but not in liquid capital. Stardade’s civil war ended only six months ago, claiming the lives of Phillip Wesley’s entire family. Phillip, the sole heir to the Wesley Estate, struggles with his grief. His childhood friend Jaqueline Fox supports him through this difficult process. He and his fellow compatriots have not yet recovered from the war’s devastation to their population and economy. The country relies on Valtross, its wealthy neighbouring country, to mine and purchase cobalt as a major export. Anna Adamos’s family uses this cobalt to manufacture electric car batteries. Though she could inherit her family’s company, Anna is more interested in her real estate endeavors.
Enter family friend Mark Rand, a wealthy executive who is looking to acquire the Wesley Estate for Rand Mining Corporation. Anna is working as Mark’s broker to expand business into Stardade. Phillip and Anna’s first encounter shows that they live in worlds set apart from one another. While their relationship started out rocky, Anna’s determination to acquire Phillip’s estate means their paths cross tumultuously. Will these two headstrong heirs’ passion turn their worldviews upside down?
Great for fans of Toni Shiloh’s In Search of a Prince, Lucy Score’s Forever Never.
